During the second T20 International (T20I) between England and South Africa in Cardiff on Thursday, Jonny Bairstow pulled off an unbelievable shot against Kagiso Rabada before getting caught in the deep. Bairstow was dismissed by Rabada as the catch was taken at the third-man area as he attempted to increase the momentum but failed to time the ramp shot.

However, before getting dismissed, Jonny Bairstow played an unbelievable shot off Kagiso Rabada. The incident took place just a couple of balls before his dismissal. Rabada bowled a yorker, and Bairstow jammed it down at the last second as he was almost nutmegged. The ball sped away to fine leg for a boundary.

For England fans, however, the match did not end on a happy note as the host failed to chase down the target of 208 runs. A fifty from Reeza Hendricks and an unbeaten knock of 96 from Rilee Rossouw helped South Africa to reach a commanding score of 207/3. England, in their chase, got bundled out for just 149, with Tabraiz Shamsi and Andile Phehlukwayo taking three wickets each.

Jonny Bairstow, with his 21-ball 30 was the highest-scorer for England, but the hosts were left disappointed with their batting performance. With the 58-run win, South Africa has now managed to level the three-match series 1-1.

In the opening game of the series, England had managed to register a huge total of 234/6 owing to dominating knocks from Moen Ali and Jonny Bairstow. In reply, the Proteas only managed to reach 193/8 despite fiery half-centuries from Hendricks and Tristan Stubbs. The third T20I will be played on Sunday in Southampton. The ODI series between the two teams that preceded the T20Is ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with the third match washed out due to rain.
