One of the best in his time, Jonty Rhodes was seen in joy when young Arshdeep Singh took a stunner. And soon after he was seen stunned seeing KL Rahul drooped an easy catch in the same over. However, Punjab Kings, while batting first, got off to a flying start and due to some stunning batting show from KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda they managed to put up a huge total of 221 runs.

On the other hand, they started well in the bowling too with two early dismissals. While Mohammed Shami removed dangerous Ben Stokes for a duck. After that, youngster Arshdeep Singh sent back Rajasthan opener Manan Vohra with a stunning reflex catch in the fourth over. And his stunner became the reason for the joyful expressions from their fielding coach Jonty Rhodes, who enjoyed a lot and felt ‘proud’ seeing of his team’s stunning effort as well.

However, after the stunner, Arshdeep made another chance when Sanju Samson got an edge in the same over and it was a dolly of a catch which KL Rahul failed to grab and gave life to Samson which proved costly as they were on the verge of winning at the end. And, after the missed chance, the camera panned on Jonty Rhodes again and he was disappointed clearly.

“Heart rate was high but I didn’t stop believing. We knew a couple of wickets would bring us back. Till the first 10-11 overs, we bowled well. It was close because we dropped a few sitters, including me. We batted really well and bowled well in patches. We weren’t consistent with the lengths but the bowlers will learn,” said KL Rahul after the match.
