Rajasthan Royals’ wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler has decided to end his ‘Mankad’ row with Kings XI Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin after getting out by the process called “Mankad” in the 12thedtion of Indian Premier League (IPL). Buttler had a heated argument with Ashwin during their game against Kings XI Punjab when Ashwin ran him out at the non-striker’s end. However, the incident divided the entire cricket fraternity into two parts. Some were saying Ashwin did wrong while some said the incident was done according to the rule.

However, Buttler said the Times of India on Tuesday that he had checked the replays and was not been given out.

“But it’s all done now, and I have moved on.”

“I just asked him if he really wishes to play the game that way. Whether he thought it was the right thing to do,” Buttler added. “And he obviously thought it was, in his opinion.”

While talking about the ICC World Cup 2019 which is scheduled to start from May 30, Buttler said that they are one of the favourites.

“We are one of the favourites. Traditionally, in World Cup, India and Australia are up there as well,” the wicketkeeper batsman said.

“We are playing some really good cricket. But World Cup tournaments, knockout tournaments are always high pressure situations,” he further added.

Buttler has been in a great form playing for Rajasthan; who have scored 176 runs in five matches, including two half-centuries.

“Since the time more England players have started playing in the IPL, selectors have been taking note of performances in the league,” added Buttler.

“Through IPL, many players have got a chance to play in the England Test team. Coming here and playing in the biggest tournament in the world and winning against the best players in this high-pressure environment, you also gain a lot of confidence,” Buttler further added.
