Suryakumar Yadav’s uncharacteristic slump is becoming a major headache for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. During MI’s high-stakes clash against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the man we know as ‘SKY’ looked like a shadow of his former self, trudging back to the dugout after a scratchy 15 off 11 balls.

For a fleeting second, it felt like the vintage SKY was back. He sent the Ahmedabad crowd into a frenzy with a trademark maximum, clearing the ropes with ease. However, the joy was short-lived. On the very next delivery, Kagiso Rabada—who is currently bowling absolute fire this season—produced a 152 KMPH snorter that bypassed Yadav’s defence and rattled the furniture.

The dismissal left MI reeling at 44/3 within the powerplay, following the cheap exits of Quinton de Kock and youngster Danish Malewar. While Rabada’s sheer pace is a headline in itself, the real talking point is Surya’s inability to convert starts into match-winning knocks.
Is it just a technical glitch, or has the pressure of the 2026 season finally caught up with India’s T20 specialist?

Suryakumar Yadav has become a total liability for India as well as Mumbai Indians. Iss chutiye ne jabse cricket chhodkar bakchodi karna chalu kiya tabse hi iska downfall chalu hua. Totally cringe & irritating ban gaya. Khudko jyada shana samajhne laga tha. Ab aa gaya jameen par.
