New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson hasn’t played in the ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Earlier this year, Kane suffered an injury on his elbow and it aggravated in March. He is yet to regain his fitness and for the same reason, he missed the first couple of matches for Sunriers Hyderabad (SRH) against Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
The 30-year-old is being dearly missed by the Orange Army as they suffered a close loss in both their games in IPL 2021 owing to a horrific collapse of the batting order. On Friday, April 16, Williamson gave an update on his injury saying that he is recovering well and is focusing on getting pain-free. The Black Caps skipper also revealed that it will take another week for him to recover completely.

In a video tweeted by SRH, Kane Williamson was heard saying, “Recovery is going really well and you know it’s been focused to get pain-free as quickly as possible, and we are certainly tracking really nicely and hoping to be fit and ready within the week.”
Further in the video, Williamson asserted that at present he is trying to create a balance between practice and rehab. Also, he is recovering well and is expecting to regain his 100% physical fitness soon.
