One of New Zealand’s greatest-ever captains, Kane Williamson, had been awaiting his chance in IPL 2020 for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) ever since the commencement of the tournament on September 19. SRH didn’t include him in the playing XI for the first two games and consequently, their batting lineup was exposed as the 2016 IPL champions lost both their opening games of IPL 2020.
Kane Williamson’s wait ended when he was included in the playing 11 in the 11th match of IPL 2020 against Delhi Capitals. Winning the toss, Delhi Capitals invited SRH to bat first and Williamson proved every inch of his might when he came out to bat for the Men in Orange at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

However, in an unfortunate turn of events, by the end of the SRH innings, Williamson was eventually dismissed by Kagiso Rabada in the final over of the first innings. Earlier in the game, DC skipper, Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first.
The attraction of Williamson’s dismissal was the shot to which he got out. Kane hit a helicopter shot, which in many ways, a symbolic shot of MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper. MS Dhoni introduced the helicopter shot to the world and after him, a lot of players have included the helicopter shot in their game too.

However, when Williamson tried it on the fourth ball of the 20th over, he was unfortunately caught by Axar Patel on the boundary ropes off Kagiso Rabada. Kane Williamson played a good cameo for SRH and smashed 41 runs off just 26 balls and SunRisers Hyderabad finished on a fighting total of 162-4 in their 20 overs.
