Khaleel Ahmed Feels Nobody Can Be Like MS Dhoni

Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni is nearing towards the end of his cricketing career at the age of 37 and 2019 may turn out to be his final year in international cricket. He made his debut in 2004 against Bangladesh and ever since then, there is no stopping to him. In 2007, he guided the team to victory in the T20 World Cup in South Africa and his captaincy skills were also appreciated after that. He also won the 50-overs World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.

It’s 2019 and Dhoni hasn’t shown any signs of reaching sunset of his cricketing career. Recently, he was adjudged as the Player of the Tournament against Australia as he scored three consecutive half-centuries, all of which came in the run-chase. The veteran campaigner has also done exceptionally in the ongoing five-match ODI series against New Zealand where he has looked comfortable so far, batting in the middle order.

Apart from his batting prowess, Dhoni has also acted as a guiding light for a number of youngsters. When he’s behind the stumps as the wicketkeeper, he keeps sharing crucial insights about what’s going on in the batsman’s mind and the suggestions have worked wonders for the bowlers. Recently, young Indian fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed also expressed his admiration for the veteran MSD.

The 21-year-old speedster uploaded a picture with Dhoni and hailed him as a ‘legend’. Moreover, he captioned the picture and wrote, “Nobody like him #MahiBhai #Legend #IndianCricketTeam #BCCI”

Khaleel made his international debut in the 2018 Asia Cup match against Hong Kong and has done reasonably well. In seven ODIs and six T20Is, Khaleel has notched 11 and six wickets respectively. He notched his best bowling figures of 3/13 against the Windies at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. He is currently in New Zealand for the ODI series but is yet to play a match.
