West Indies captain Kieron Pollard has given a big update on Dwayne Bravo’s International cricket future. He said that Caribbean all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo has decided to hang up his boots from international cricket after the T20 World Cup. In a video message during the West Indies Pakistan series, he confirmed the news as well.
He said, “I just want to take this opportunity to wish one of our stalwarts. In all three formats, he has played though he retired from the other two a long time back. But Bravo is playing his final game in Maroon on the Caribbean soil. We look forward to that.”

Dwayne Bravo has earlier announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in November 2018. However, he returned from retirement to star in the T20s in December 2019. And, considering his form in T20 cricket, he will play a major role for the West Indian side to win the mega event as well.

However, the Caribbean all-rounder has made 138 international appearances so far, including 15 Tests, 93 ODI’s and 40 T20I’s. Bravo has announced that the T20 match against Pakistan will be the last T20 match, playing in his country. He said this during a team huddle. Meanwhile, he has been a great form in the shortest format of the game and so far he has won two trophies as well, in 2012 and 2016.
Apart from his swashbuckling batting, he is also a very economical bowler and has the ability to trouble the opponents in the death overs. He is also considered a death-over specialist. He picked up 76 wickets from 85 T20 matches to become the highest wicket-taker from his side in the shortest format of the game as well.
However, along with playing for the West Indies team, he has featured in several T20 franchise leagues around the globe as well. And, he is one of the key players of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. Meanwhile, if the rumours are to be true, this IPL season might be the end of his IPL career as well.
