Kieron Pollard Warned Shikhar Dhawan Of Not Leaving His Crease

Mankading has always been a hot topic to debate in the cricketing world. Many former and current cricketers have opined on teh topic and discussed whether it is actually in the spirit of the game or not, and the topic has been one of intense scrutiny. And, during the match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday, Kieron Pollard was seen handing out a warning to Shikhar Dhawan, who was leaving the crease too early.

The incident took place during the 10th over of the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) chase. Pollard stopped his bowling action and was seen gesturing to Shikhar Dhawan to return back to the crease. Here is the video of the incident:

Amit Mishra’s excellent spell with the ball helped Delhi Capitals (DC) to register a comfortable win over five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 13th match of the 2021 edition of the IPL. The 38-year-old IPL veteran scalped 4 wickets in the 4 overs that he bowled, and gave away runs at an economy rate of just 6 runs per over.

Mishra helped his side restrict MI to a total below-par total of 137/9. Apart from Mishra, Avesh Khan also scalped a couple of wickets as well. On the batting front, it was Shikhar Dhawan was the spearhead during the run chase for the Delhi outfit. Opening the batting, the 35-year-old played a steady knock of 42-ball 45 to help his side go past the target with 6 wickets and 5 balls to spare.

Apart from Dhawan, Steve Smith and Lalit Yadav contributed 33 and 22 respectively. And, Amit Mishra was awarded the Player of the Match award for his exemplary performance with the ball in hand.

DC has commenced their campaign on a decent note as now they are standing at 2nd place in the points table after registering 3 wins from 4 IPL matches this season.
