The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is slowly moving toward its conclusion with the commencements of the playoffs. However, the BCCI’s decision to schedule the game at different venues changed the whole equation for a lot of franchises. The decision to shift the tournament to the UAE was taken due to the massive mammoth cases of COVID-19 in India at that time. Moreover, this saw a drop in the form of many teams as well as the average scores.
Teams like Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad massively struggled in such a condition. However, all these teams will be back for redemption in India in IPL 2022. Mumbai Indians will especially look to dominate the whole IPL from their Wankhede fortress. But two new franchises will also enter the fray as the BCCI has made it official regarding the IPL expansion.
