Last year when India traveled to England, Kuldeep scalped 14 wickets in 6 matches (3 T20Is and 3 ODIs) to truly mark his arrival at the international level. No surprises then that India would be expecting wickets from him in the World Cup as well. However, only time will tell whether he manages to make an impact in England or not, he has already dropped a bombshell with a big comment regarding his senior teammate MS Dhoni.

Speaking on the sidelines of CEAT Cricket Rating Awards on Monday evening, Kuldeep revealed that sometimes it happens that Dhoni goes wrong with his tips and suggestions. It is a baffling revelation considering the way the players have credited the former Indian skipper for their success. In fact, even the chinaman along with his leg-spin partner, Yuzvendra Chahal has credited Dhoni too, stating that his suggestions from behind the wickets helped them do well.

However, Kuldeep revealed, “There are a lot of times he (Dhoni) goes wrong but then you can’t say that to him. Zyada baat nahi karte woh (he doesn’t speak much). He speaks only between overs if he thinks he needs to point out something.”

Meanwhile, Kuldeep had a forgettable outing in the IPL 2019 while plying his trade for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was included in the playing XI for 10 games and only managed to scalp 4 wickets before being dropped. He averaged nearly 72 and conceded close to 9 runs per over. Kuldeep will be desperate to turn things around when he dons the blue jersey.
