India is looking horns with South Africa in the opening game of the three-match ODI series at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. On Thursday during the first innings of the game, the Indian spinner, Kuldeep Yadav helped the fans recall the legendary spinner, Shane Warner, by castling Aiden Markram on a delivery that turned ferociously.
Earlier in the game, the Indian skipper, Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and decided to bowl first in the rain-curtailed game citing the moisture on the pitch due to the rain storm before the start of play. After 21 overs, South Africa were 105/3, with Quinton de Kock on the crease on 44-ball 39, alongside Heinrich Klaasen (3 off 6 balls).

South Africa started off pretty cautiously as they were 49/0 at the 12-over mark. However, they failed to carry the momentum and were left reeling at 71/3 in no time. Kuldeep Yadav, who has been recalled to the playing XI, impressed the most during the period. He outfoxed Aiden Markram with a sharp turn that spun backward.
Kuldeep Yadav The ball was pitched outside off and at full length, but it turned so much that Markram had no clue how to defend that before his stumps were broken. In that turn, there was a glimpse of the bowling of the legendary Shane Warne.
