Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are locking horns with each other in the 64th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. DC suffered a huge blow as they lost David Warner on the first ball of the match itself owing to w brilliant delivery from Liam Livingstone.
PBKS skipper, Mayank Agarwal won the toss and decided to bowl first citing chances of dew later in the innings. While PBKS made no changes to their playing XI, DC made a couple of changes as Khaleel Ahmed replaces Chetan Sakariya and Sarfaraz Khan takes KS Bharat’s place.

The Capitals fans were in utter shock to see David Warner going back to the pavilion on the first ball of the over. Sarfaraz was initially taking the strike on the first ball, but Warner decided to take strike at the last moment because Liam Livingstone was bowling. Warner decided to drive the hard wide length ball, and it turns a little, bounces a little, and takes a thick edge to the backward point.
Rahul Chahar was perfectly placed there, and he claimed an easy catch to help his side take the prized wicket. DC, although, came back hard after losing Warner early. They raced to 35/1 at the end of three overs.
Here is the video of the dismissal affected by Liam Livingstone:
