Shami bowled a back-of-a-length delivery on and around the middle stump and Liam Livingstone swung his bat as hard as possible and cleared the ropes with the utmost ease. Back in July 2021, Livingstone smashed Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf for a 122m six during a T20I match at Headingley in Leeds.

Before the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Liam Livingstone said, “They were very different (speaking of his 117m six and the one he hit at Leeds against Pakistan), it was obviously fun to hit as big a six as you can, it entertains the crowd and that’s a part of the T20 business. But, you’ll still get only 6 runs.”

He further added, “I don’t have a solid defence. I can’t say that being able to power sixes is a confident thing; it puts the pressure back on the bowlers. If it’s in my half, I do try to hit sixes and transfer the pressure back onto the bowling unit.”

Liam Livingstone is among the leading run-scorers for PBKS in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, having amassed 293 runs from 10 matches at an average of 32.55 and a strike rate of 186.62.
