Sachin Tendulkar, the legendary Indian batsman, yesterday, embarked on a new journey by launching his own fan engagement app called ‘100MB’, available as a free download on the App Store and Play Store. The Master batsman, who has amassed a record 15921 runs from 200 Tests with 51 hundreds and another 18426 runs from 462 ODIs with 49 Hundreds, claimed the app will keep his fans and experts updated about his seconds innings of life, i.e. life after Cricket.

Speaking on the occasion, the Master-Blaster said, “Many of you and my friends have asked me what are you going to do in your second innings of life. The first innings went on for 24 years. There are number of things which I am involved in, but something which I am looking forward to starting soon, in fact now, is the digital innings.”

In a tweeted video message to address his fans, the Master said, “It is time to get up and close with me, and to be able to do that we have created a new platform called 100MB. What we are trying to create is all the information on me, whether it is social media updates or anything that I generally do in life, you’ll have it on one platform, one destination.”

A song sung my Sonu Nigam and the Master himself will also be available on the App this Sunday at 10 pm IST, a teaser of which is already available in the app. The App is available as a download for iOS and Android on the App Store and Play Store respectively, and its size is a mere 7 MB. We downloaded the App right away and found it quite user-friendly and wonderfully crafted. It works in tandem with Twitter and Facebook and flashes the Master’s updates on social networks. A host of features will be available in the coming days that will help you interact with the Master better than ever. “Watch Sachin Live” particularly excites us the most, a feature that the app claims will be up and running soon.
