Colin Munro making his return to the team made sure he made the most of the chance received. He smacked 33 runs from just 18 balls and provided the early momentum. Munro was bowled the youngster Shivam Mavi. Another youngster Prithvi Shaw was severe on anything in his zone and was in a murderous mood.
Prithvi Shaw played an amazing knock of 62 from just 44 balls with 6 fours and two sixes. It was difficult to overshadow his innings but his Mumbai partner Shreyas Iyer did just that. Iyer was out to prove his credentials with the bat and he made a solid statement.
The last over of Shivam Mavi was blasted for 29 runs by Shreyas Iyer alone. He stroked four huge sixes and a sole boundary to take Delhi’s score from 190/4 to 219/4. Iyer himself was 93 not out from just 40 balls with 10 sixes. Glenn Maxwell supported with 27 runs in 18 balls.
