Chennai Super Kings in a stunning revival rose up from the lowest powerplay score of this season to a formidable total of 182/3. After a brilliant beginning from Bhuvneshwar Kumar was CSK struggled heavily for runs it was Raina and Rayudu who gathered the team and then began their assault. MS Dhoni also added quick runs to take Chennai to 182/3.

Earlier in the day, it was Kane Williamson who won the toss at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium and chose to field first. In changes, CSK had to leave out Imran Tahir due to an injury and brought in FAF Du Plessis. SRH also brought in Ricky Bhui and Billy Stanlake back in place of Shikhar Dhawan and Chris Jordan. The decision to bowl first looked perfect as Bhuvi and Stanlake kept a plug on CSK run scoring.

Centurion from the last match, Shane Watson failed to get going today and got out after hitting his first six. Raina and Du Plessis struggled for the runs early and negotiated the period somehow. By the end of 6 overs, CSK had only 27 runs which is lowest so far in this season.

The leggie Rashid Khan snared FAF Du Plessis on his first ball. This brought Rayudu and Raina together at the crease. Playing on his home track, Rayudu looked comfortable from ball one. The pair slowly began to rebuild and soon started shifting gears.

The duo began to display its attacking instincts from the over number 10 and kept scoring the runs regularly. The score started changing rapidly. Rayudu was especially brutal and looked all set to make his first IPL century for CSK. Trying to run off a mis-field, he was out for 79(37).

MS Dhoni walking in next ensured the momentum and scored a rapid 25 from 12 balls. The dream pair of Raina and Dhoni took Chennai to a mighty score of 182/3. SRH without Shikhar Dhawan will have their task cut-out.
