New Zealand pace bowler Mitchell McClenaghan who was featured in the Pakistan Super League 2020 season which took place in Pakistan, forced to leave the country and also the league midway due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the world. New Zealand closed their borders and asked their citizens to return home as soon as possible from all over the world.
PSL was called off with only the knock out games left on the morning of March 17. Mitchell McClenaghan who played for Karachi Kings became one of those 15 foreign players who left the tournament due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus which included the players like Chris Lynn, Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Tymal Mills, Liam Dawson, Liam Livingstone, Lewis Gregory, James Vince, Carlos Braithwaite, Rilee Roussouw and James Foster (coach).

However, recently McClenaghan spoke to his fans in a Question and Answer session on Twitter. During the session, he was asked who is his favourite cricketer from Chennai Super Kings was and he replied, Harbhajan Singh. Incidentally, they both played for Mumbai Indians for quite a few years and won the title three times together as well, before Harbhajan Singh joined Chennai Super Kings.

Mitchell McClenaghan was about to play for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming edition of IPL, but it has been pushed back till April 15 due to the spread of the COVID-19 in India, which has already picked up 6 people in the country, with more than 270 positive cases so far.
