Gujarat Titans (GT) are locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a highly anticipated encounter of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai. The game is the first one of the doubleheaders Saturday. After winning the toss, RCB skipper, Faf Du Plessis decided to bat first citing the hot and humid conditions.
While batting first, the Bangalore-based team was at 60/1 after the completion of 9 overs. The team lost their skipper Faf Du Plessis on a duck in the second over of the innings. Pradeep Sangwan was the bowler who provided the Hardik Pandya-led side with a breakthrough.
During the first over, after Mohammed Shami bowled the first delivery, an interesting visual appeared on the television. The GT pacer asked for a measuring tape from the dugout as surprisingly, he was then seen measuring his run-up.
Mohammed Shami ordered the measuring tape to mark his run-up. Regardless, the on-field umpire was not impressed with the time-consuming act by the right-arm pacer. He had a brief chat with Shami which was an animated one. Skipper Hardik Pandya was involved in the chat as well.
Here is the video of the incident:
