Recently, former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni has appeared in a video highlighting the infamous IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal. He has appeared in a show called Hotstar Specials for online streaming partner Hotstar.
The trailer of the same was uploaded in the morning on the official Twitter account of Hotstar Specials. The documentary is expected to release on March 20, the documentary will predominantly cover the title-winning comeback journey of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) last year.
As an aftermath of being found guilty in the spot-fixing scandal, CSK and Rajasthan Royals (RR) received a suspension for two years from the tournament. Coming on the back of their suspension, Chennai ended up winning their third title last season.

In the trailer, Dhoni has been seen talking how match-fixing is the biggest crime of his life. Talking about the tough phase, Dhoni also mentions how Super Kings’ ardent fans believed that the punishment was harsh.
During the video, MS said, “The biggest crime that I can commit is not a murder. It’s actually match-fixing. The team was involved. I was accused too. It was a tough phase for all of us. Fans felt that punishment was harsh. Coming back was an emotional moment. I’ve always said, what doesn’t kill you, makes you strong.”
The incident wasn’t captured in Dhoni’s biopic, which had released in 2016 as the film ended with the World Cup win in 2011. With him talking about the same on a public platform, it is highly likely to allure plentiful eyeballs.
