In a recent interaction, former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was questioned about the possibility of creating YouTube videos, to which the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman candidly confessed that it’s a task beyond his comfort zone. Despite being known for his resilience and adaptability, Dhoni acknowledged that facing the camera is challenging for him due to his inclination towards in-person interactions.

The 42-year-old icon revealed his reservations, citing his conscious nature, and admitted that he is too moody to commit to consistent video production.

In a surfaced video on X (formerly Twitter), Dhoni shared, “Just now I was talking about this. Someone even asked me the same. Woh bolte hai ‘mere se na ho payega’ (I won’t be able to do it), because it’s very tough. I won’t say I am very camera conscious but it doesn’t come to me. So, I am very happy having a one-on-one conversation.”

He further added, “I am more of an in-person kind of a man. When it comes to YouTube, I don’t think I will be able to do it. Plus I am moody. It might happen that I will make three-four videos, then like my Instagram, put another video after one year.”

Although Dhoni has bid adieu to international cricket, his popularity remains steadfast, particularly among his vast fan base. While retired from international cricket, the seasoned cricketer continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Fans eagerly anticipate his return to the field in the 2024 edition, with Dhoni retained by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the auction.

Dhoni’s last stint with CSK culminated in a remarkable triumph, leading the team to their record-equalling fifth IPL title in the 2023 season. Despite undergoing left knee surgery post the victory, Dhoni, with unwavering determination, has recovered from the injury.
