Former India skipper MS Dhoni witnessed some increment in his fan base when he was seen as the Kabaddi mat for promotions and now it seems he is set to play tennis at a local Ranchi Tennis tournament. It is no secret that his first love is football and he started out as an aspiring footballer before even considering cricket as an option.
Once in a while, Dhoni has also seen racing and or playing badminton. But, he does not mind switching between sports and that is the reason why he will be seen on the tennis courts soon. He will take part in the doubles event at the JHC Cricket Club in Ranchi on Wednesday.

The local tournament will start on Wednesday and will end on November 30. The veteran cricketer is in the twilight of his career and despite he is not playing cricket, he is managing to stay busy with endorsements and advertisement campaigns. However, Dhoni will not be seen participating in the singles category.
Dhoni is not a part of the Indian team touring Australia as Rishabh Pant has been picked over him, but the two-time World Cup winner aspires to play the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. Commenting on the same, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar stated that he was not aware of the mindset of the selectors and the reasoning behind this decision of dropping Dhoni.
Sachin further elaborated that he made no attempts to convince anyone with regard to the decision making. He explained, “I don’t know what the mindset of the selectors is and I haven’t looked to influence anyone by giving opinions. What happens in the dressing room and between captain, coach and selectors should stay within them.”
