In preparation for the much-anticipated IPL season, MS Dhoni recently visited the Maa Dewri temple near Ranchi in Jharkhand. A video capturing Dhoni seeking blessings at the temple has gone viral on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. In the video, fans surround the World Cup-winning captain, eager to catch a glimpse and even take selfies with the cricket icon.

Following a spectacular IPL campaign last year, fans are eagerly anticipating MS Dhoni’s return to the competition. Dhoni faced challenges throughout the previous season due to a knee injury, leading to speculation about his participation in the upcoming tournament. Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan addressed Dhoni’s injury status in an interview with news agency ANI in December.


“He has recovered well (from his knee injury). He is undergoing his rehab programmes, started training. By the time the next IPL starts, I am sure he will be fit to play,” remarked Kasi Viswanathan.
