MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper was seen sweating it out with Suresh Raina in the Chennai SUper Kings (CSK) nets as three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions gear up for the upcoming season. In the video, both Dhoni and Raina can be seen sharpening their game during a practice session while keeping a close eye on how youngsters like Sam Curran are preparing for the T20 tournament.
Raina, who missed last year’s IPL due to personal reasons, can be seen practicing some fielding drills and then worked on his big-hitting during a net session. Here is the video of the same:

Dhoni has led CSK to the IPL title thrice (2010, 2011, and 2018), but in the last season, they finished at the seventh spot and it was the first time, that the side failed to qualify for the playoffs. On Wednesday, they suffered a huge blow as CSK) fast bowler, Josh Hazlewood has decided not to take in the upcoming 14th edition of the IPL.

As per the quotes in cricket.com.au., Josh Hazlewood said, “It’s been a long 10 months in bubbles and quarantine at different times, so I decided to have a rest from cricket and spend some time at home and in Australia in the next two months.”
IPL 2021 is slated to commence on April 9 with Mumbai Indians locking horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the tournament opener.

CSK will play its first match on April 10 against Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. CSK added the likes of Moeen Ali and Krishnappa Gowtham to their squad during the auction and with Suresh Raina also returning to the set-up, Chennai will be hoping to put in a better performance as compared to last season.
