Pakistan’s young sensation Hasan Nawaz stole the show with a blistering century, helping his team secure a dominant nine-wicket win against New Zealand in the third T20I at Eden Park, Auckland, on March 21. Once Haris departed, Nawaz took center stage. Known for his composed approach, the young opener initially paced his innings cautiously. However, once settled, he unleashed a storm of aggressive stroke play, dismantling the New Zealand bowling attack. Nawaz’s century came off just 44 balls, a milestone that not only highlighted his batting prowess but also his ability to handle pressure at the highest level.

His unbeaten 105 off 45 balls was studded with 10 fours and seven towering sixes, reflecting a strike rate of over 233. Skipper Salman Agha played the perfect supporting role, contributing a steady 51* off 31 deliveries. Together, they forged an unbeaten 133-run stand for the second wicket, guiding Pakistan to victory with four overs to spare.
