Rishabh Pant’s woes with the bat continued in IPL 2025 as the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper endured yet another disappointing outing—this time falling to a remarkable juggling catch by Rajasthan Royals’ keeper Dhruv Jurel. The moment unfolded during the 36th match of the season at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, adding further concern over Pant’s underwhelming run in the tournament.
Despite being the most expensive player in IPL history, Pant has failed to live up to expectations with the bat this season. After starting his campaign with a golden duck against Delhi Capitals, he followed it up with poor scores of 15, 2, 2, and 21. A glimmer of hope appeared when he notched a 63-run knock off 49 balls against CSK, but the strike rate left much to be desired, as he took 42 balls to reach his half-century.

In the match against Rajasthan, Pant looked visibly out of rhythm. He managed just 3 runs off 9 deliveries before falling to Wanindu Hasaranga in the 8th over.
Trying to reverse sweep a well-pitched delivery, Pant only managed a top edge. The ball ricocheted off Dhruv Jurel’s helmet grill and bobbled twice before Jurel finally held on after three attempts, completing one of the most dramatic dismissals of the season.
