2. 3rd ODI, 2011 – England v India, Lord’s:

Eng vs Ind Lords 2011 ODI

India returned from the England tour in 2011 without winning a single game. They came close to a victory in the Lord’s ODI that ended in a Tie. Chasing 281 to win, the home was placed at 270/8 when the rain stopped the game at 48.5 overs. The play did not resume and the game ended in a Tie as the par score at that point was 270.

The men in blue would have won by two runs if this game was played during the DLS 2.0 which has the par score after 48.5 overs as 272. However, the current update would have pushed the game into England’s favor as the par score according to it would be 269, a run less than England’s score. The latest version of DLS seems to have taken the lower-order runs into consideration expecting England to make 12 runs in seven deliveries with two wickets in hand.
