3. ICC Champions Trophy 2013 – South Africa v Windies, Cardiff:
The 2013 Champions Trophy was a rare occasion of South Africa getting benefited by rain and revised scores. Windies were in dying need of a win in order to make it to the semis while South Africa would be through based on NRR if they can avoid a loss (Win/Tie/N-R). Kieron Pollard got out on the first ball of 27th over just when they were four runs ahead of the par score of 190.
The Windies team were leveled with the par score post the dismissal of Pollard and soon the umpires decided to go off the field because of the rain. The play didn’t resume and the South African team made it to the final four because of the tied game. If this game was played post-2016, the team from the Caribbean would’ve made it to the knockouts as the par score reads 186 and 185 respectively as per the recent updates.
