Pat Cummins Has Donated $50000 To PM Relief Fund For Purchase Of Oxygen Supplies

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fast bowler, Pat Cummins made an announcement on Twitter on Monday and it has won the hearts of people. In his message, the Australian pacer has stated that he has contributed $50000 to the Prime Minister’s (PM) Relief Fund for the purchase of oxygen supplies to Indian hospitals.

Cummins had posted a long message where he shared the love he has been receiving from the Indian people, who have been the nicest he has ever met. He also added that the Indian Government is of the belief that conducting the IPL while the country is fighting against the pandemic, will provide a few hours of joy to the people of India.

Adding that he has also felt helpless, Pat Cummins stated in his tweet that people should channelize their emotions into actions that will bring some light into the lives of people. Cummins hopes that his donation will make a difference to some people in the counrty.

Pat Cummins has been in decent form in the ongoing IPL for KKR. He has been batting at an average of 27.33 with the willow in hand and has scored his runs at a strike rate of 190.70. With the ball, the right-arm fast bowler has picked up 4 wickets in the 5 matches that he has played.

The Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, have been having a forgettable outing in teh ongoing season so far. They have managed to earn just 2 points in the ongoing edition of the IPL, and are placed at 8th place in the points table.

In their previous match, the Eoin Morgan-led outfit had suffered a dominating loss against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) side. The Kolkata side posted a total of just 133/9 on the board, and the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan side chased it down with 6 wickets and 7 balls to spare.
