Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is locking horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 60th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. An incident took place during the first over of RCB innings when a black cat managed to stop the play for some time by sitting on the sightscreen before starting to move.

Earlier in the game, RCB skipper, Faf du Plessis won the toss and asked PBKS to bat first and his bowlers didn’t disappoint. As far as the changes are concerned, RCB made no change in their playing XI, while PBKS brought in Harpreet Brar to replace Sandeep Sharma.

RCB is chasing a challenging target of 210 against PBKS owing to the fiery knocks of Liam Livingstone and Jonny Bairstow in the first innings and they got off to an active start as Faf du Plessis smacked Harpreet Brar for four off the third ball. But then, an interruption for some time happened, and it was because of a strange reason.

A black cat was seen sitting on the sightscreen in front of Faf, who was on strike. It walked across the top of the sightscreen before sitting, and Faf spotted her first. He did not want the distraction sitting on there, and asked the on-field umpire to stop the game for a few minutes. A few moments later, the cat was seen moving from the sightscreen and the umpires asked to resume the play.
