Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most entertaining as well as a cash-rich league across the globe where the players got a massive platform to exhibit their skill and talent to the world as well. Over the years, the T20 league not only earned plenty of fans but also produced several match-winning players for India and other countries in the form of Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya or Yuzvendra Chahal as well.
However, keeping the recent success in the mind of Indian women’s cricket, many asked to begin an IPL like a tournament for women’s as well. Other countries like Australia and England already run women T20 leagues, alongside men’s. However, India’s star leg-spinner – Poonam Yadav, who had a successful season in the T20 World Cup, took to Twitter on Sunday and shared that she would like to play for the Chennai Super Kings if given a chance.
“Given a chance, would love to roll my arm over for @ChennaiIPL,” Poonam Yadav said in a tweet replying to a question where she was asked which team she would want to turn up for in the IPL.
“Lionesses are the real hunters! Vaa vaa Manjal malarey!” Chennai Super Kings replied to Poonam from their official Twitter handle.
