The high-scoring contest saw India chase down a challenging target and register their highest successful run chase in ODI cricket. The final match will be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. However, India have suffered an injury setback ahead of the series finale, with fast bowler Prasidh Krishna ruled out of the contest.

According to a post shared by a journalist on X, Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the third ODI because of a niggle. A Cricbuzz report has further indicated that the pacer is dealing with a hamstring injury.

The extent of Krishna’s injury remains unclear, and it is not yet known whether he will be sidelined beyond the final ODI. India have also not announced a replacement for the fast bowler at the time of writing.

Krishna featured in both matches of the series. In the first ODI, he bowled his full quota of 10 overs and returned figures of 2/60. He then bowled only five overs in the second match, taking one wicket while conceding 45 runs.
