Prasidh Krishna continues to shine for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2025, and his moment of brilliance against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday at Eden Gardens was a perfect example of his red-hot form. In a high-pressure moment during the 17th over, Krishna produced one of the most spectacular return catches of the season to send back Ramandeep Singh and dent KKR’s hopes in a crucial chase.

Ramandeep Singh, who has struggled to find any rhythm this season, once again faltered. Coming into this match with scores of 6*, 22, 1, 0, and 1, the explosive batter failed to get going once again. Facing a sharp 144.5 kmph delivery from Krishna, he hammered it back down the ground — but in a flash, the bowler reacted, bending low and clutching onto a stunner just inches from the turf.

Ramandeep stood in disbelief as Krishna celebrated a wicket that showcased both reflexes and class. Prasidh’s stellar form continues to set him apart in this year’s tournament — with that scalp, he retained the Purple Cap, now boasting 16 wickets from 8 matches.

Earlier in the game, GT’s top order laid a solid foundation, notching a 114-run opening stand with fluent fifties from both Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan. Jos Buttler chipped in with an unbeaten 41, taking GT to a respectable 198. However, the Titans couldn’t fully capitalise in the final overs despite having wickets in hand — a testament to KKR’s bowling efforts, which kept taking the pace off smartly.
