Preity Zinta Shares Her Concerns For Arjun Tendulkar After The 31-run Over

The recently concluded game between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Wankhede Stadium, in Mumbai saw the visitors secure a brilliant victory over the five-time champions. Batting first, Punjab reached a humongous score of 214/8 in their stipulated 20 overs, thanks to Sam Curran’s explosive knock, and Jitesh Sharma’s 7-ball 25 towards the end.

Mumbai, who were backed with three wins in a row, looked to continue the winning streak, but Arshdeep Singh’s brilliance in the final over put curtains on Mumbai’s innings as they closed the innings at 201/6. But one thing that was talked about after the game was Arjun Tendulkar’s 31-run over.

The MI youngster, who had scalped his maiden wicket in the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and contributed to his team’s win, conceded as many as 31 runs in one over, the second-most expensive over by an MI bowler in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Punjab Kings’ co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta expressed concern towards the young pacer, Arjun Tendulkar post the contest and wishes well for him, hoping that he doesn’t end up at the receiving end after one poor outing.

During a chat on Star Sports, Preity Zinta said, “I hope everything goes well and everything goes fine. I do feel that one of the youngsters, whom I’ve seen as a small kid with chubby cheeks. I’m not saying this because of his famous surname (Tendulkar). I do feel for him today and I hope he comes back strong and he doesn’t get trolled for it and stuff like that because it happens with one and all.”

He further added, “When Rinku Singh hit the five sixes against Gujarat, people said it was something they’ve never seen. But we know we’ve seen that, we experienced it when Rahul Tewatia pulled it off against our team. So yes, everybody goes through that.”

During Punjab’s first innings, Arjun Tendulkardismissed Prabhsimran Singh to pick his first and only wicket of the match, and also his first at Wankhede, in front of his home crowd. But things did not end up well for the youngster as he finished with 1/48 in three overs.
