The tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been moved to the UAE due to ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. The last eight matches – initially scheduled for Rawalpindi, Multan and Lahore – have also been relocated.

However, it all started after the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings in Rawalpindi on Thursday (May 8) was postponed due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan as well. The decision to relocate the tournament was made after discussions between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the PSL stakeholders.

Notably, the PCB is yet to announce the revised schedule, which is likely to be out soon.

Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi shared the decision was “to ensure the mental well-being of all players participating.”

“Like in the past, we hope that our stakeholders will rally with us to further the best interests of the tournament, our players and the fans. We are committed to ensuring that the league continues to thrive,” he concluded.
