The 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) didn’t go well for Kings XI Punjab as they failed to qualify for the playoffs. But that didn’t restrict their co-owner Preity Zinta to come over and support her team from the ground whenever the team played. She attended the final league game of Punjab against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday. Her team ended the season with a 6-wicket win over Chennai in Mohali.
The win didn’t make any difference in their fortune as they knocked out much before due to net run-rate. However, the season went with some controversies as well. From not getting enough sponsors earlier the league to Ashwin’s ‘Mankading’ episode of March 25 and co-owner Ness Wadia’s arrest for having drugs, all did happen in this season only. However, Preity Zinta was happy with the team’s performance as they ended the league with a win after four consecutive losses. She met Chennai captain MS Dhoni and shared a picture on Twitter.

More than the picture, caption grabbed the attention where she wrote, “Here I’m telling him to be careful – I may just kidnap her,” she said jokingly and asked the Twitterati to give a suitable caption.

She also shared a tweet and thanked the fans for supporting despite being knocked out of the league. Sh, however, promised that they will be back stronger next year. Last time they reached the playoffs as well as in final was in 2014 but lost to Kolkata Knight Riders.
Not the end to the tournament we expected but happy to end with a win. I want to thank all the @lionsdenkxip fans for their constant support through all the seasons 🙏 Next year we will be back better & stronger. #saddasquad
