Indian skipper Virat Kohli is in a very good form on this South African tour. After scoring 286 runs with the average of 47.66 in the three-match Test series, Kohli has also scored 429 runs (average = 143) in the first five ODIs of the ongoing six-match ODI series.
Talking about Kohli’s superb form, Raina spoke out in an exclusive chat with India Today, “Virat Kohli is very hungry – hunger is there in his eyes. His fitness has been remarkable. Every time he rotates the strike – whenever he gets the loose balls, he looks to punish them. He is the best in the world, no doubt about it. He wants to win the World Cup very badly – probably in England, he will be the man of the tournament.”
Recently former Australian and South African cricketer Kepler Wessels marked Virat Kohli as the best batsman in present time. Wessels had told to CricketNext, “I think Kohli is terrific and I like the aggressive brand of cricket he plays. I like the way he can turn a match and the impact he has across all three formats. He is definitely one of the best batsmen at the moment. I like his personality and his aggression and the way he takes the game to the opposition. I think his leadership skills have been pretty good so far and it runs on the rest of the players.”

The 31-year old experienced Indian cricketer believes that his peak time is yet to come as he still can provide good performances with the bat. He said, “My peak is yet to come, my time will start from here on. Still timing the ball really well, have a few good bats. Need to be patient to bat at No.4.”
