The name of the cyclonic wind is “Maha” that can be expected to bring heavy rainfall on the date of the match and around it. The weather forecast authorities have issued a warning for the people and farmers to beware of the natural calamity. The regional IMD (India Meteorological Department) director Jayanta Sarkar said that the cyclonic storm “Maha” started 580 kilometers away in the southwest might affect the current situations and is expected that it can bring high rainfall in some areas. The winds can blow at a high rate of 120 kilometers per hour.

The IMD director also recited that if the forecast is right, then there are huge chances that it will rule out the second T20I match. Sarkar also reckons that cyclone will hit the state on and around the 6th or 7th of November. Currently, the natural calamity is moving towards Oman but it can also have an effect on the Gujarat coast.

Sarkar further added, “The storm will cause heavy to very heavy rains in Saurashtra and south Gujarat on November 6-7. It is moving towards Oman but will recurve towards the Gujarat coast on Monday.”
