Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan creates a history by becoming the youngest player to claim the top position of ICC Player Ranking. At the age of just 19 years and 153 days (7,092 days), Rashid Khan claims the top spot of the ICC ODI Bowling ranking with the career-best rating points 787.
In the recently ended five-match ODI series against Zimbabwe at UAE, Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan performed superbly as he claimed total 16 wickets in that series. With his extraordinary performances, Rashid Khan achieves the top spot of the ICC ODI Bowling ranking with the 787 rating points.

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has also the same rating points (787) and becomes the joint top leader of the ICC ODI Bowling ranking.

To become the youngest player to claim the top position of ICC Player Ranking, Rashid Khan breaks the former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq’s record, who had achieved that feat the first time at the age of 7,683 days.

With the help of brilliant spin bowling attacks, Afghanistan won the 5-match ODI series against Zimbabwe by the 4-1 margin. Apart from Rashid Khan’s superb contribution, new mystery spinner Mujeeb Zadran (took 12 wickets) and off-spinner Mohammad Nabi (scored 58 runs and took 5 wickets) have provided important contributions in that series.

Apart from his brilliant bowling, Rashid Khan has also contributed with his bat in the fifth ODI where he played a brilliant 43-runs knock off just 29 balls.
