Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan once again showcased his flair with the bat, producing a sensational no-look six against Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman during their Asia Cup group-stage clash in Abu Dhabi. The audacious stroke, which came in the 17th over, quickly went viral, leaving fans in awe of Rashid’s fearless approach.

With Afghanistan chasing 155 and requiring 45 runs off the last four overs, Rashid cleverly used Rahman’s pace to flick the ball over the boundary without even looking—a moment that sparked excitement and belief in the Afghan camp.

Afghanistan eventually fell short by just eight runs, managing only 146 in reply to Bangladesh’s modest 154/5. The match was a rollercoaster, with Afghanistan in control at the halfway stage before losing wickets in clusters. Azmatullah Omarzai briefly revived hopes with a fiery 30 off 16 deliveries, smashing 20 runs in a single over off Saif Hassan. But his dismissal to Taskin Ahmed in the 16th over derailed Afghanistan’s chase.

For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman (3/28) was the standout, sealing the contest by removing Rashid and AM Ghazanfar in consecutive deliveries during the 19th over. The win was crucial for Bangladesh, especially after their earlier defeat to Sri Lanka, while Afghanistan were left to rue missed opportunities in a match that slipped away despite moments of brilliance.
