Former Pakistan wicket-keeper batter, Rashid Latif has opined that Pakistan is a better cricket team than India in the current scenario. The veteran was of the opinion that the Men in Green has match-winning cricketers, including the likes of skipper Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who have been rewarded with awards by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Rashid Latif lauded Team India for playing good cricket, but also said that no other team is playing as good as Pakistan of late in international cricket. As per the quotes in Cricket Pakistan, he said, “India is no doubt a good team, but there’s no example of the way Pakistan is currently playing cricket. Pakistan has players like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan who are currently named as the best players by the ICC.”

He explained, “No doubt other teams are also competitive but the main competition in Asia Cup 2022 would be between India and Pakistan.”
Rashid Latif also said that Pakistan would be high on morale and confidence after beating the Indian team without losing a wicket in last year’s T20 World Cup match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
He said, “I am hopeful for Pakistan to win Asia Cup 2022. The victory against India in the recent T20 World Cup 2021 has increased hopes for Pakistan.”
