It seems as if the Punjab Kings (PBKS) leg-spinner, Ravi Bishnoi has become a lucky charm for the franchise. After delivering a match-winning spell against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in his first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Bishnoi took a stunning catch in the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Ahmedabad.

Ravi Bishnoi took a brilliant running catch

Bishnoi catch helped Punjab Kings to get rid of Sunil Narine in defense of 123. The latter’s dismissal took place in the third over when Punjab Kings got their third wicket, having dismissed both the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)openers. Narine, who came at number four, pulled Arshdeep Singh’s back-of-length delivery to deep mid-wicket. It initially seemed like it would go the distance or, if not even that, will likely not land in any fielder’s hands.

However, it was a brilliant fielding effort from Ravi Bishnoi which paid off in the end as he ran a long way to take a diving catch. Narine perished for a duck, lasting four balls. The youngster was unstoppable after taking the catch and it gave Punjab Kings a massive opening.

Here is the video of the dismissal:

Earlier in the game, the KKR skipper, Eoin Moran won the toss and decided to bowl first citing dew in the latter part of the game and his prediction was quite perfect. While, Morgan made no changes to the squad, KL Rahul revealed that they had replaced Fabian Allen with Chris Jordan.

PBKS did not put on an inspiring batting performance, as only Mayank Agarwal and Chris Jordan managed to cross 30. Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 4-0-30-3 to restrict the opposition to 123 only. The two-time champions would still fancy the chances of their second win this year.
