The Indian team registered their lowest-ever total in the longest format of the game and eventually lost the four-match Test series opener by eight wickets against Australia in Adelaide on Saturday. The visitors started Day 3 with a lead of 62 runs but a dramatic batting collapse saw them finish their innings for 36 for nine as Mohammed Shami was retired hurt after suffering a huge blow in his right arm off Pat Cummins.
