There is not much time left for the start of the 2022 T20 World Cup. The World Cup is scheduled to begin in Australia in October later this year. The Indian cricket team will be eyeing to end the nine-year-long drought of not winning the ICC title. For this, all the star players of India will have to contribute their 100 percent.
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has now named two players whose workload should be managed properly before the T20 World Cup. According to Shastri, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah are India’s biggest weapons and special attention should be kept to them.

Describing the same, Ravi Shastri said, “Hardik Pandya is one of the most important players of the Indian team. When you take him out, the balance of the team gets disturbed. In the World Cup last year, we missed him because he was not bowling. No one can even come close to the quality they have.”
He further added, “They should be closely watched. Hardik and Bumrah should be watched in the matches before the World Cup. Hardik Pandya will be seen playing in the Asia Cup.”

Hardik Pandya will be seen playing for India in the Asia Cup starting on August 27. However, Bumrah will not be a part of this tournament as he is not fully fit. Bumrah was rested for the West Indies tour and then did not even go on the Zimbabwe tour. When the squad for the Asia Cup was announced, it was revealed that Bumrah was injured and needed some time to recover. The Indian team will hope that Bumrah’s injury is not serious and he returns to the field before the T20 World Cup.
