The five-time IPL champions have reportedly shown a strong interest in Sanju Samson, especially after the Rajasthan Royals skipper hinted at leaving the franchise following IPL 2025. However, the potential trade involving Jadeja has sparked widespread debate among CSK supporters, many of whom view him as an irreplaceable part of the team’s legacy.

Ashwin acknowledged the fans’ frustration but noted that such a move would be uncharacteristic of the franchise known for its loyalty to players. “I totally get the emotional angle of the fans, but this is very unlike CSK. The sentiments are completely justified. CSK’s identity has always been built on stability, trust, and belief in their players,” Ravucgabdrab Ashwin said on his YouTube channel.

He further highlighted that CSK’s brand was built around MS Dhoni’s leadership, emphasising the team’s culture of consistency and faith in its core group.

“This is how CSK created such a strong brand. Everything revolved around Dhoni’s vision, and that’s why these reports are difficult for many fans to digest,” he added. The 37-year-old spinner admitted that he too was surprised by the rumours, saying, “I’ve seen fans on Instagram sharing their disappointment about Jadeja possibly leaving. It’s clear how much he means to them.”

Ravindra Jadeja, one of CSK’s most valuable players, has played 186 matches for the franchise, scoring 2,198 runs and claiming 143 wickets with an economy rate of 7.64. While reports suggest the trade talks are progressing, neither CSK nor Rajasthan Royals have made any official statements, leaving fans eagerly awaiting clarity.
