The bowlers endured a tough outing, prompting veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to express sympathy for them on X. His tweet, “‘Save the bowlers’ someone plsss,” resonated with fans witnessing the onslaught.

In the first innings, KKR’s onslaught saw PBKS bowlers struggling, with Sam Curran conceding 60 runs, Kagiso Rabada 52 runs, and Harshal Patel 48 runs in their respective overs. The trend continued in the second innings as Harshit Rana conceded 61 runs, Varun Chakravarthy 46 runs, and Dushmantha Chameera 48 runs.

Despite the historic win, Punjab Kings remain focused on climbing up the points table. With three wins and six losses in nine games, they are still in contention for a playoff spot.
