Ravichandran Ashwin was an integral part of CSK for seven years, appearing in 97 games and taking 80 wickets with a remarkable economy rate of 7.05. His performance was the best in 2011 when he took 20 wickets playing 16 matches, being one of the pivotal figures in helping CSK capture consecutive titles in 2010 and 2011.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s success established him among the most consistent bowlers in the league. Following CSK’s suspension in 2016 and 2017, Ashwin played for four other teams—Rising Pune Supergiant, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Rajasthan Royals. He also appeared for CSK in 24 matches of the defunct Champions League T20, only adding to his legacy with the team.
