India’s limited-overs skipper, Rohit Sharma along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have commenced their rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Both Rohit and Jadeja are missing the upcoming 3-match series in South Africa that will be commencing on December 26 to January 15 as they missed out due to injury concerns.
Rohit, who was recently named as the deputy skipper in Tests was initially in the 18-member squad, but he suffered a hamstring injury after joining the bio-bubble in Mumbai. India A skipper, Priyank Panchal was named as his replacement in the squad. Meanwhile, Jadeja and Axar were not in the initial squad as they were injured during the New Zealand Tests at home.
