The wife of the Indian Test cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, Reeva was allegedly thrashed on Monday by a police constable in the Jamnagar City of Gujarat after a minor accident involving her car hit a police motorcycle. The police have detained Constable Sanjay Ahir in connection with the incident.
The incident actually took place at Saru Section road in Jamnagar when Reeva’s car allegedly hit the motorcycle of the constable who attacked her, said Jamnagar district Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sejul. He said, “The policeman physically assaulted Reeva Jadeja after her car hit his motorbike. We are providing all possible help to her and will take strict action against the policeman.”
A man is claiming to be the eyewitness of the incident said the policeman physically assaulted Reeva “brutally”.

“The policeman mercilessly thrashed Reeva and even pulled her hair during an altercation. We saved her from his clutches,” Vijaysinh Chavda told reporters.

Jadeja and Riva got hitched with each other in April two years ago. He is currently playing in the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK)), and his team has made it to the playoffs of the tournament. They will locks horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday in Qualifier 1 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
In the 14 matches, Jaddu has played this year, he has scored just 86 runs and picked 9 wickets. Though he hasn’t managed to scalp many wickets, he has been an economical bowler for his side and has given 7.60 runs/over.
