The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 has always been managed to produce exciting games and nothing was different when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) locked horns with each other and churned out an edge of seat entertainment at the game in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.CSK win the nail-biter by two wickets. Ravindra Jadeja who at the end was almost guided CSK over the line, as he fell short and was dismissed when CSK needed just a run to win in one ball.
However, Deepak Chahar came in and did the job for his side and got the run to grant the victory and to take the Yellow side to the top of the table. This is the seventh time CSK managed to complete the chase off the final ball of the innings – the most by a team in IPL going past six by Mumbai Indians (MI).

For CSK, Ruturaj Gaikwad (40) and his fellow opener, Faf du Plessis (43) gave the perfect start and despite them being dismissed, Moeen Ali (32) carried forward the momentum. However, soon wickets started to fall during the death overs and the MS Dhoni-led side lost the skipper for just a run along with ‘Chinna Thala’ Suresh Raina (11) and Sam Curran for four runs.

Earlier, Rahul Tripathi’s gutsy knock and Nitish Rana’s quickfire knock helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) post a total of 171/6 in their allotted 20 overs. For KRR batsmen, Rahul Tripathi top-scored 45 while Nitish Rana scored 37. Shardul Thakur and Josh Hazlewood scalped two wickets each while Ravindra Jadeja returned with one wicket.
